Pros and cons of photography … my house looks like grenade has exploded inside, my garden returned to nature , I lack sleep and I become a terrible driver. On the other hand, I started to really seek and see the beauty. Photography has truly changed me.
I used to be workaholic and one day I realized that I really needed a hobby … and it started with digital Rebel and couple of lenses from eBay. I found myself fascinated by founding the artistic parts of me. Being a very technical, understanding of “how it works“ was not very difficult but letting creativity to take over – was and still is.
Ansel Adams said “ You don't take a photograph , you make it” and this is how I look at it. When I'm looking at the subject , I try to imagine what I can create. For me post processing is important as it takes the ordinary image and transforms it to my personal vision. Very often it takes hours to “make” the image, starting with image /
images selection and adding the alchemy of software. For me, photography is very much two part process, first is the hunt for that perfect image and than second part creating a vision. Understanding of the possibilities of digital photography has enabled me to look into directions that were very difficult to capture using traditional methods.
Another part of photography is “on line sharing”. Flickr was my start, I learned a lot from many fantastic photographers. With many of them we are really good friends, I have visited many and have many more invitations ... especially one from Guatemala that I will be visiting for Christmas. My images were seen over 2,5 million times on-line.
I think, the day that I decided to pick photography as my hobby, my life has changed. It has taken the lion share of my time but no regrets here. Having a hobby is a good thing, I wish that everyone would try it.
Thank you for spending you time with me , please contact me if you have any questions.

I was watching BBC Click and they have mentioned interesting website with tutorials, how to and all around photography . Take a look http://photo.tutsplus.com/ . Looks quite interesting . There is a lot of free tutorials but more in depth are reserved for "premium users" $9 / month (or $22 for three months, or $78 per year)
Take a look , I will try to spend bit of time on it .
